Small Batch VIP Cider Session

The Minnesota Cider Guild presents the Small Batch VIP Cider Session.

Join fellow cider lovers and friends for a deep, delicious dive into local cider. Your favorite cideries will be pouring special small batches of their ciders along with the ciders you already know and love. While you’re tasting, learn about the unique ciders that Minnesota produces and get your questions answered during face-to-face conversations with the cider makers. We will have limited tickets available in order for attendees to have a more in-depth tasting experience.

Attending cideries and the ciders they will be serving are below.

Tallgrass Cider: Batch No. 4 (single varietal semi-sweet), Afterglow (Aged on Aronia Berries for 1 year), and Scratch and Tangle (Cider aged on Wild Black Cap Raspberries)

Minneapolis Cider Company: Resolution #5, Half-Nelson Hopped 2.0, Fireside, and Rubus Roselle.

Keepsake Cidery: Chestnut/Chisel Jersey Dry Pet Nat, Dabinett SV Medium, Aura Champagne Style, and Driftless La Crescent Pet Nat Co-ferment with Plums and Grapes.

Urban Forage Winery and Cider House: Blackcurrant Cider, Pear Cider, and Barrel-aged Dry.

Sapsucker Farms Yellow Belly Cider: Ginger, Cayenne, Lemon Basil, and Rhubarb.

Wild State Cider: Blackberry Mint, Pride - Peach Basil, and Berry Jam.

2023 Annual Meeting

Minnesota Cider Guild 2023 Annual Meeting

If you’re a member, or prospective member, of the Minnesota Cider Guild, then join us at Number 12 Cider for the 2023 Annual Meeting. To have an accurate number of who will be attending, please RSVP here.

Are you interested in serving on the board of the Minnesota Cider Guild? This year we have three board seats up for election at the Annual Meeting. Volunteer board members help set the direction of the organization during their two-year term. Meetings are held monthly and primarily take place online. If you're interested in being on the ballot for one of the board seats, please send an email to Luke at luke@mncider.org and include your name, cider affiliation, and a brief bio. In order to run for a board seat or vote for board members you need to be a current member of the guild.

COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Minnesota Cider Guild Board has made the difficult decision to postpone the upcoming Winter Conference and annual meeting. We are optimistic that we will be able to schedule the gathering and share a cider together once again sooner rather than later.

Mark your calendars for the Minnesota Cider Guild’s Annual Winter Conference taking place Saturday, March 28 from 2:30-7 pm at Number 12 Cider in Minneapolis. The Guild member meeting will be from 1-2 p.m. followed by five sessions that offer unique insights into the cider world. We welcome any and all attendees to grab a bite with us at the end of the day with pizza, charcuterie and a cider share between 6-7 p.m.

  • Public (non-cidermaker): $25

HOME CIDERMAKER SESSIONS:

  • 2:30 p.m.: Cidermaking & Fermentation 101
    These first two sessions will be an intro for home cidermakers to learn the steps needed to making cider on their own.

  • 3:30 p.m.: English Cider Tasting
    Come and sample English ciders as well as discuss the technique and unique flavors in different regions.

  • 4:30 p.m.: Bottling & Juice Sourcing
    Discussion on local, bulk and organic juice sourcing for ciders.

2019 Bushel to Bottle Fall Festival and Beverage Tasting

Celebrate Fall with Harvest-Themed Ciders, Beers, Wines and Spirits from Minnesota Makers

Join the Minnesota Cider Guild at the 4th Annual Bushel to Bottle Fall Festival, Saturday, October 26, from 1-5 p.m., at the picturesque Minnesota Harvest Orchard and event barn in Jordan, Minnesota — just 30 minutes south of the Twin Cities. Sip and savor harvest-themed ciders, beers, and spirits and mix with Minnesota makers with unlimited samples of specialty beverages. In addition to sampling, nosh on great foods like gas-fired pizzas to celebrate the fall season in the barn or enjoy peaceful tractor rides across the orchard.

Attendees will receive a commemorative sample glass to enjoy the variety of beverages that will be available from our 15+ cideries, breweries, and distilleries.  

Bushel to Bottle benefits the non-profit Minnesota Cider Guild, an organization that aims to promote craft cider, education, and culture in the state. Our crowds are well-informed, respectful and interested in engaging with Minnesota craft beverage producers. 

 Ticket Options:

  • VIP tickets — $45: Enjoy an extra hour of attendance starting at 1 p.m., plus sign-up for a special Bushel to Bottle Journey Tour on the grounds (first tour begins at 3 p.m.)

  • Regular Admission — $35 (2 p.m. entrance)

  • Shuttle Bus — $15 in advance, $20 on-site

  • *ALL IDs will be checked. No ID = no entrance.*

Ample parking is available at the orchard. A shuttle bus will be leaving from Number 12 Cider (614 N 5th St, Minneapolis, MN 55401) at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday and returning at approximately 6:15 p.m. Limited seats are available.

Minnesota Cider Festival 2019

Join the Minnesota Cider Guild for the 2019 Minnesota Cider Festival, the region’s premier cider sampling event.

This outdoor festival will feature unlimited samples from around 100 local, national and international cideries. Guests will also enjoy food for purchase from Spring Café and Red River Kitchen all while taking in views of beautiful Como Lake from Como Lakeside Pavilion.

A limited number of early entry tickets are available for $60 and include early entry to the festival, one hour early starting at 1pm, featuring special releases and other goodies. General admission tickets are $50 and include entry to the festival starting at 2pm. All tickets include unlimited cider samples and a souvenir tasting glass. If still available, tickets will be sold at the door for $70 (early entry) and $60 (general admission).

Designated Driver tickets are $10 and include a souvenir tasting glass and non-alcoholic beverage samples.
